“The Lord is my Shepherd, I shall not want.”
Congratulations, you made it! If you are reading this you have celebrated Christmas - the birth/rebirth of the Christ Child in your heart, and
have entered the New Year 2012 with the limitless opportunities the year holds. You are counting your blessings and giving thanks and praise
for the good in your life. You are appreciating God’s wonderful work in your life and affairs. This is a time of reflection on the past and planning
for the future. Endings always elicit mixed emotions. The end of a relationship, end of a school year, a calendar year, a birth year, etc. We bless
the past, leave it behind and move on. In all cases, though we may not always recognize it, there is a lesson in each ending that we take with us
into the future. So too with the recess of our weekly classes. For the year we completed books by Catherine Ponder, Charles Fillmore, etc.,
attended prayer sessions, and studied books in the Bible. When the year ended, we closed the books that we completed and put them on the
shelf at home, maybe to read again, use as reference material, or to be guided to by Spirit in a time of need. However, the lessons we learned
are invaluable – they are the guideposts for our everyday life. Our prayer session ended on a high note and we celebrated with a year-end
closing banquet. A fitting lead-in to our Candle lighting service. We were spiritually ready, our desires held close to our hearts as we lit our
candles. A Y.O.U. ended the service with a beautiful rendition of Silent Night.
As we move into the New Year, we leave behind a successful year filled with many demonstrations of God’s guidance, abundance
and provision. But we cannot rest on our laurels, we must now forge ahead to bigger and better things. We as a church know that God is on
our side and that we will never lack for any good thing. Thank you to all those who continue to work diligently with God’s help, to keep our church
going, to spread the word of Truth to all who are ready and receptive. As is written in the Bible, ‘those who have ears, let them hear.’ We look
forward to a year of spiritual growth and enlightenment. Our classes are back in session after the break, and we look forward to seeing you there.
We do not know what the future holds, but we do know ‘who holds the future.’ We thank God for opening the windows of heaven and pouring out
His blessings upon us. I wish you all the best for the New Year and hope that it will be your best year ever. You are truly blessed. I love you.
